    Fritzlar Cathedral Museum

    Located in the historic cloister of St. Petri Cathedral in Fritzlar, the Cathedral Museum impressively combines centuries of religious history with modern exhibition design. Under the guiding principle “Experiencing Faith with the Senses,” the museum presents unique art treasures, most of which were created specifically for the important monastic center in Fritzlar.

    Among the highlights of the collection are the Cross of St. Henry, dating from around 1020, and the famous disc-shaped reliquary containing the “Comb of St. Boniface” from the 8th century. These outstanding examples of sacred art bear witness to the site’s long religious and cultural tradition and make a visit to the museum a special experience.
