    The history of ethnological museums is closely linked to colonial contexts and calls for critical examination. The GRASSI Museum of Ethnology in Leipzig sees itself as a place of encounter and dialogue, where relationships are reimagined and contemporary forms of exhibition are explored—with the active involvement of civil society.

    With the exhibition REINVENTING GRASSI.SKD, the museum is gradually evolving into a network museum that brings diverse perspectives to light and critically reflects on the collections as well as the histories of their acquisition and exhibition. In collaboration with Funkelbach— an architecture and graphic design firm—the scenography and exhibition design were developed to bring this thematic vision to life both spatially and visually.
